The lodge Hnilčík is, and we believe that it will enchant you, secluded from the nearby recreational village Poľana by the village of Hnilčík, in its locality Roztoky. The lodge borders with the national park Slovenský Raj and it is a suitable starting point not only for hiking in Slovenský Raj, but also for trips around national cultural heritage of Spiš and Gemer regions. There is various cultural heritage in the locality, such as the castles Spišský hrad, Levoča, and Krásna Hôrka, the museum Spišské Museum, mansions Markušovce, Betliar, etc. For hikers, the lodge is a great base for hikes into Slovenský Raj, such as the cave Dobšinská ľadová jaskyňa, plateau Geravy, the village Mlynky, the mountain settlement Biele Vody, national parks Čingov and Vysoké Tatry and many more. After you arrive back from your active day, you can follow it up by relaxing and resting in our lovely surroundings. In winter you can use the local recently re-opened ski resort, Ski Centrum Mraznica with its slopes visible from out of your window. In summer you can use the outdoor swimming pools in the town Spišská Nová Ves, as well as thermal swimming pool in Vrbové, or Aqua City in Poprad.
